Summer is approaching and if you have kids who will be out of school for summer and looking for some fun things to do… this might be for you. The Summer Series Volleyball Program is for kids entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade who are interested in learning how to play volleyball. The idea is to get them excited about the sport and even help prepare them for try-outs at their high school or a club team. And above all – HAVE FUN!
Instruction is FREE for LOP residents. If your child has a friend who would like to learn but does not live in LOP, you may invite them as a guest as long as there is space available. Guests will still need to sign up. There will be a place on the form to indicate who they are here with as a guest.
Space is limited so early sign-ups are recommended. For reference, we are suggesting a tentative time from 9am-11am. However, we will announce the time once we coordinate with other LOP activities for kids (such as swim team) to help prevent any overlap.
Location: Hazel Park in LOP
Time: 9am-11am (tentative)
Bring a water bottle for when we take breaks for hydrationUse sunscreen as we will be outdoorsThere will be volleyballs available but you are welcome to bring one along if you have one to share with the group (we can never have enough)Wear tennis shoes with laces (no slip ons)
AND FOR THE YOUNGER SIBLINGS…
Volleyball experience is helpful, but not necessary. If you enjoy working with kids who love learning, that’s all it takes. We can teach you the rest! Contact us if you are interested.
