Based on the number of participants, Bocce Ball is the most popular group activity at LOP. Bocce Ball is fun for all levels of skill, and you don’t have to be an athlete to be good at it.
LOP Bocce Registration Dates for 2020
Saturday, April 4, 2020
Newcomers and individual Registration can be turned into the LOP Golf Pro Shop from Monday, March 2 until Saturday, April 4. Saturday, April 4 will be the deadline to submit applications. Newcomers or individual players will be grouped together to form new teams or added to teams who may need additional players. The Bocce Board will assist in this process, but can not guarantee placements.

Keep the Night You Have Registration. Saturday, April 11 is for existing teams to register for the same night they held in the 2019 league season. Returning teams will submit their team registration forms between 9 a.m.–11:00 a.m. at the LOP Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Team Captains or their designee who do not attend the April 11 registration time slot 9 a.m. – 11:00 am will be dropped from the night they held in 2019 and will be required to register, first come, first serve. Team Captains who wish to obtain a new night or form a new team will be required to register, first come, first serve. No exceptions.

First Come, First Serve Registration. Saturday, April 11 is for newly formed teams or teams who have voluntarily dropped their 2019 night. These team captains will submit their team registration forms between 12 noon – 3 p.m. at the LOP Clubhouse Multipurpose Room.
Wednesday, April 15, 2020
Late Registration. Wednesday, April 15 is the last date that a team may submit a Registration form and it must be turned into the LOP Golf Pro Shop by 5 p.m. to be considered. The Bocce Board will assist members if an opening exists, but can not guarantee placements.
Registration fees will be $20 per person and payable in the form of one team check on the day of registration. Bocce Teams consist of a minimum of eight players. Typically, bocce league activities run May through September. The new shed and bocce equipment will be made available to Captains beginning April 15 at the conclusion of bocce registration. Remember bocce court reservations are through the LOP.org website. Registration forms can be obtained through the LOPSAC.com website.

There are Bocce Balls available in the Sports Lounge Bar (The league uses balls that are 107 mm in diameter). The LOP Bocce Ball rules are much simplified from the International rules you see on the internet.
